10th August
Its the case of the angry little man at the moment...he is very much awake at
the moment and not happy that he is still at the hospital. They have drained all of the blood from his lungs and that
has helped his breathing so much that he has been taken of the ventilator. He still gets oxygen but its on a low flow tube, the
same kinda tube that he got sent home with.He had been put back on the ventilator after 23 hours of off it due mainly to the
'fluid/blood' that he had on his lungs. He has an ultrasound today,So the plan for today is to see if the blood clot had cleared
up.If so than most of his lines(iv's) will come out.He is definitly giving them hell up there and they call it "his raging
moments".They have slowed down the rate on his pacemaker and his heart seems to be doin ok and beating well above the pace
rate.He does have a few 'blue' moments when he gets real stressed out.So we are going to have a chat with the doctors to see
if they can still give him somthing to calm him down a bit. When he first got here he was getting so stressed that he
hardly hard any sleep for the week, than when he got the 'rsv' bug he crashed big time. And we definitly dont want to see him
go bad again...
He is slowly starting to get his voice back and his little attempts at crying
is definitly heartbreaking to hear...But once he gets his voice back.....DAMN LOOK OUT.....
