Well its been a long time between updates thats for sure and alot has happened.Firstly
I'd like to to welcome Adrian Joaquim Franklin to the world,and just like his older brother he couldnt wait to get here.Adrian
was born 5 weeks premature weighing 2.4kgs and yes u guessed it , he also has a hole in his heart.But its already started
to repair itself...(whew)...its a small VSD and they are quite happy with him and his progress.He will be home later this
week.Amanda stayed in hospital for a week after her C section , she gave us a little scare for a minute there but I'll let
her tell u about that.I'm sure she will have lots to say on her next update...
Damien well thats another story...he had tests at the childrens hospital to arrange when his
next operation would be.well he was admitted straight away an has been poked and proded ever since.The walls of damiens heart
have gotten very thick and they would like to proceed with the next step towards his "repair" but since his heart has been
working so hard along comes the next thing with his liver not giving out enough proteins.But docters are very hopeful that
they can treat it with medication.At this stage they dont know whether they are going to do the full repair or replace the
existing 'shunt' with a larger one.Surgery is shecduled for the end of this week.
Amanda has truely been the hero here after getting home on the wednesday after givng birth
to Adrian...she was barely home a week when Damien was admitted.The staff at the childrens put amanda up the first few nights
of damiens stay.She now has a room at the ronald mcdonald house.Which is right across the road about a 4 mintue walk.i stayed
with her over the weekend and by sunday was totally drained and exuasted.I have no idea how she has done it , she has been
at Damiens side by the get go.And trust me he is not enjoying being back at the hospital and gives the ol evil eye to any
docter and nurse which wander near.I know she is missing her other little boy very very much...And i know for sure that im
missing the lot of em...and just want them home...
